Wrigley Field
What can you say about
Wrigley Field that hasn't already been said? It bums me out a little bit that I missed
Harry Caray doing the game, but it was still neat
and filled with mystique (right down to it being sold out and we had to pay $30/ticket for
standing room only. That's right, we actually had to stand in the aisles.) It
was still cool and the Cubs won, by large margins, every
game they played while I was there (and they were in quite a slump!)
One interesting story is when we were standing in the aisle watching the game and two kids walked up to us with identical shirts. They stopped, kinda turned away from us, and said "they had samples of them in the back of their car if we wanted any." I didn't know what the hell he was talking about, but after I looked at the back of his shirt with 20 different "flavors" of pot drawn all over it, I got the idea.

Scoreboard
This is taken from Murphy's Bleachers' deck.
The big cubs sign is actually the back of the scoreboard out in center field. |

Marquee
Kit and I out front, obviously. I feel compelled to write a caption here anyway. |

Marquee
This was a sad attempt at getting it to look like I
was holding up the Wrigley marquis. Either my camera's viewfinder is off or Kit was
cross-eyed. |

SRO Seats
This is from our $30 SRO (Standing Room Only) "seats." We had to stand
in the aisle for the whole game, but at least it was a good view. |

Peanut Tosser
I think this kid was actually trying to catch some
peanuts or something from the upper deck. And yes, the vendors "throw"
everything to you. These guys were some of the best hustlers I've ever seen.
One of them wouldn't take a picture with me unless I bought beer from him. |

7th Inning Stretch
This is the 7th Inning Stretch. I forgot to see who the celebrity singer was because
I was too busy running around, taking pictures, and spilling beer. |

Right Field
After we spent some time in Murphy's Bleachers, we
were walking back to the El Train, and a stroke of luck came upon me. One of the
greens-keepers was exiting from a big external door at field level and I talked him into
letting me go stand on the right field warning track and take pictures of the sunset.

Right Field
Just another shot taken from field level, this time of the scoreboard. |
